A Blessing Beyond Words

I am writing my very first post on a brand new amazing macbook pro computer. I have experienced the amazing love of God today far beyond how my words can even describe it.

As many of you awesome readers know, I have been struggling with getting a new computer for awhile ... my old computer has had multiple issues, and been very unreliable lately. Some days it would take hours and hours to even turn on.

This morning my hubs got a message to meet up are associate pastor after services. We were both wondering what in the world he could want, we didn't think we had done anything bad ... ;)

He took us to his office, handed my Hubs and I a package, and then said this was handed to me and I was suppose to pass it along to you as a blessing. Have a seat, and spend all the time you need. Hubs and I looked at each other ... really, for us? My goodness.

We sat down, and opened this sweet note (paraphrase) :

Dear Christina:

We heard from a friend of a friend you needed a computer, and we felt called to bless you with it. Think of it as an early Christmas present.

Use your talents to bless others.

WOW! God is so good!

Philippians 4:19 -- God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory

Here are a few photos. :)

Luke 11:9-10 --
"So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."

Spend some time thanking the Lord today, for He is good!

:)

Birthday Boy!

Today is my husbands birthday! It is hard to believe it is that time again so soon! I can tell we have entered adulthood because birthdays are "just another day." :)

Waiting for him when he got home was this sweet little banner I made. It showcased his favorite color, blue, and was definetely happy welcome!

It doesn't look as nice in this picture as it did when I first put it up. :) This is also from my phone, so the quality is crummy. I will try and take nice pictures tomorrow. LOL

I also made him this lovely birthday card, and yummy chocolate covered pretzels. :)

Isn't this card just awesome? Hubs really liked it! I think it would be just perfect for the majority of men. Need a personalized card? I'm your lady, just leave a comment. :)

We went to dinner at lovely friends house tonight. They made Hubs his favorite ALL-TIME meal, although I think food in general is good to him. :) T-bone steaks, baked potatoes, and fresh veggies. He ate his whole entire steak, and most of mine. It really was delicious. Thank you Brown's. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET SWEET HUBS!

EtsyBlogger Carnival Post

I love the Holidays!!! There are so many lovely things that happen after Halloween, and before the new year. Lots and yummy cooking, family togetherness, and the reason for the season.

My favorite time is when the Hallmark Channel and Lifetime begin to feature their Holiday movies. My sweet Hubs can get annoyed with my continuous DVR recording of whatever movie is being shown. He often cannot help but to laugh at all the movies I record. I just can't seem to help it, they all get me in Christmas Mood. :)

What is your favorite holiday movie or special? Why?

The Three R's

Reduce Reuse Recycle

I got an awesome custom order from Australia this week, and have really enjoyed creating her notecards! I wanted to find a way to wrap her card orders so she has a wonderful present inside her package.

I have really been working hard at becoming environmentally friendly with all my packaging. It is important for all of us to do our part, in keeping our environments clean and healthy.

My newest trick is using paper bags as my wrapping. What an easy trick, and it really does look lovely.

Would you enjoy opening up this package???

Here is an easy tutorial to follow for your own shop.

1. gather tape, scissors, and a old brown paper bag

2. Cut the bag to size to wrap your item

3. Wrap your items just like a Christmas present

4. Make a special Note just for the buyer, something they will appreciate.
(Mine is a sweet little tag made from recycled paper)

5. Go "hunting" through your apartment for recycled ribbon, yarn, lace, etc. to tie your package.
(I use yarn)

6. Tie the package with the item you found and add your "note-to-buyer"

It really is just that easy. As shop owners, we all should be considerate of the items we use to wrap our projects. I hope this tutorial gave you a new idea!

Blessings,
